Alkanos SA was founded in 1975. Initially, the company focused on the production and distribution of polyurethanes, an activity that is still part of its core business.

Throughout the years, Alkanos expanded its activities and reached a leadership position supplying products to diverse industries, such as: flexible polyurethane foam, mattresses, pillows, residential and commercial refrigeration, cold storage rooms, thermal insulation, among others.

The company continued its expansion and incorporated the distribution of raw materials for the industries of resins, paint, food, cosmetics, pharmacy, veterinary, flavours and fragrances, among others. After a strong market presence, Alkanos became a distributor of high-quality machinery for the production and transformation of polyurethane foams.

In August 2016, we opened a new industrial plant in “Parque Industrial de Burzaco” (Buenos Aires, Argentina) which has production, logistics, storage and technical facilities designed with the latest safety and technological standards. Alkanos continues to demonstrate its eagerness for growth and innovation capacity sustained throughout its history.
